Facing increasing pressure from private label brands in the yoghurt category in Denmark, Arla wanted to develop indulgent and snacking products that would drive real category growth.


Our journey began with an Inspiration Safari around London to broaden the team’s perspectives on the territories of snacking and indulgence using expert inspiration, immersive activities and eye-opening store visits.


From this we generated stimulus to launch us into 2 mind opening, challenging Hot House workshops in Copenhagen. Massage therapies, sensory assault courses and roller coasters helped inspire us to generate over a hundred illustrated product ideas.


We took those with the most potential into a Tandem workshop, co creating ideas for products, packaging and advertising together with some of Denmark’s most creative and talented young professionals.


Butterfly refined 18 concepts for quantitative screening. The best are now being developed for launches between 2014 and 2016.
